Simple BMR Calculator allows you to calculate your basal metabolic rate and find your maintenance calories.
The basal metabolic rate (BMR) is the number of calories per day your body burns in order to perform its most basic functions. Multiplying BMR by a factor of value between 1.2 - 1.9, depending on activity level, calculates daily caloric need (maintenance calories).
Daily consumption of maintenance calories will ensure you neither gain or lose weight. Depending on your goal simply eat less than or more than your maintenance calories in order to lose or gain weight.
Simple BMR Calculator uses the Mifflin-St Jeor equation to estimate BMR.
